近くに明治屋があるのであまり有名ではありませんが、実はこのモールは意外に飲食店が充実していて、牛角等日本食レストラン、イタリアン、スタバ、パン屋、また小さなスーパーマーケット等が多数入居していて、意外に使えるモールなのです。覚えておくと便利です。

Local supermarket is available at Bali Collection, Nusa Dua - 地元のスーパーマーケットも入っているヌサドゥアのバリコレクション

Nusa Dua area is special resort area. So commercial facility is "collected" only at Bali Collection, a big shopping mall.

While you may feel boring only inside your hotel, walking in the mall is a fun. It's OK that you just watch many restaurants, shops, money changer, department store, foot massage shop and so on.

Bali Collection provides a local supermarket. It's a no problem that you buy and bring drinks, beers, snacks and tobacco to your guest room. But you remember that eating such snacks on the hotel's poolside is a bad manner.

You can use free shuttle bus between Bali Collection and each hotels in Nusa Dua and Benoa. If your hotel is close to the mall, you can walk by yourself, like The Laguna A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. But at night, it's safer that you use a car because you cannot ask for help in the accident. Nobody is walking on the road inside the area at night.

ヌサドゥア・エリアは、特別なリゾート地区のため、商業施設が一箇所に集められています。それが「バリコレクション」です。

ずっとホテルの中でこもっていると飽きるので、広いモール内の飲食店、ショップ、両替所、デパート、フットマッサージ屋等をぶらついてみるのは楽しい息抜きになります。

バリコレクションの中にスーパーマーケットがあり、そこでジュースやビール、たばこ等を買い、ホテルに持ち込むことは問題ありません。でも、ホテルのプールサイドでスーパーで買ってきたお菓子等を、思いっきり広げて食べるのは、リゾートスタイルとしてはマナー違反ですね。

ヌサドゥア、ベノア地区の各ホテルからバリコレクション行きの無料のシャトルバスが運行されています。「ザ・ラグーナ」のように近くのホテルであれば歩いて行くこともできますが、ヌサドゥアエリアは、夜になると人の往来が少なくなるので、できれば車で移動したほうが安全でしょう。

Squirrels at Kayumanis Nusa Dua Private Villa and Spa - カユマニス・ヌサ・ドゥアのリス

At Kayumanis Nusa Dua, sometimes pretty squirrels and small birds visit your villa's wall. They are very cautions, so they don't come close. You can take pictures with a zoom lens.

カユマニス・ヌサ・ドゥア・プライベートヴィラ＆スパでは、ヴィラの壁伝いにリスや小鳥が時々やって来ます。警戒心が強く、近づくとすぐに逃げていってしまうのですが、ズームレンズならば可愛い姿を写真に収めることもできますよ。

"Guo Mama" at Lishui Street - 麗水街の中華レストラン「郭媽媽」

Before visiting Dandy Hotel Daan Park Branch (丹迪旅店大安森林公園店), Kanna and I visited Lishui Street (麗水街). Lishui Street is running parallel to Yongkang Street (永康街), famous for shopping and dining in Taipei city.

When we walked on the street hungrily, we found the Chinese character sign board, "家味郭媽媽便當美食". "美食" means "delicious food". Guo Mama (郭媽媽) is not listed on our travel guidebook, but when we looked into the restaurant, many local people were eating. So we decided to have a lunch here.

Restaurant staffs cannot speak English, but they gave us English menu, so we ordered fried rice, fried crispy chicken, dumplings, some Chinese vegetables and so on. Every food is delicious and staffs are very kind to us. The price is very cheap, less than USD10 for all.

Many restaurants in Yongkang Street are busy in lunchtime, so it's better that you can go to different street or places, if you want to enjoy foods in a quiet restaurant.

ダンディー・ホテル大安森林公園店に行く前に、カンナとマーニは昼食を食べに麗水街を訪れました。麗水街はおしゃれな雑貨やレストランのある永康街と平行に走る道路です。

麗水街をたらたら歩いていると「家味郭媽媽便當美食」という看板の店を発見。読めないけど、なんとなくレストランであることは間違いない。しかも「美食」と書いてあるし（笑）。ガイドブックに掲載されてない店だったけど、店内をのぞくと地元のお客さんでいっぱいだったので、入ってみることにしました。

店員さんは英語が話せないけど、日本語メニューがあったので炒飯、鶏の唐揚げ、野菜、水餃子などを注文。どれも美味しく、二人で食べきれないほど。料金も全部で1000円しなくて、とても満足でした。

永康街のレストランは、食事時はどこも混んでいるので、別な通りや、少し離れた場所を探したほうが、ゆっくり食事を楽しむことができます。

As you know, it's very easy to find food stalls in Bangkok. But it's difficult in Phuket.

Because Thai local people don't live in Patong or Kata where many foreigners stay at. If you want local foods in Phuket, it's better that you go to Phuket Town, the capital of the island.

But some local foods restaurants are found in Patong Beach.

A small food stall opens in a daytime, on the west end of Patong Beach. Foods are thoroughly cooked foods like Thai curry, stir-fried veggies or grilled fish, one of Phuket local food. You can order, just pointing at.

バンコクに行ったことのある人はご存じの通り、町の至る所に屋台があります。しかしプーケットに行ったことのある人は、ご存じの通り町に屋台がとても少ないのです。

というのは、外国人観光客が集まるビーチエリアは地元タイ人は住んでないので、屋台などのローカル料理は、プーケットタウンなどのタイ人が集まるエリアに行かないとないからです。

しかしパトンでも探せば、ローカル料理を食べられる場所が幾つかあります。

そのうちの一つ、パトンビーチのはずれ、アバンティカ・ブティック・ホテルの前に、昼間屋台が出ます。なんとオーシャン・ビュー！料理はカレーや炒めた野菜など火を通したもので、魚を使ったカレーなどプーケットらしい料理もあります。料理は指をさすだけで注文できます。

海を見ながらの屋台はぜいたくな気分が味わえますよ。

Dinner cruise on the ground "Yok Yor Restaurant at Klongsan, Bangkok" - 地上のディナークルーズ「ヨック・ヨー・レストラン、クロンサン、バンコク」

In Bangkok, travelers can enjoy a dinner cruise on Chao Phraya River. But some people cannot get on the board because of seasickness.

Yok Yor Restaurant is one of dinner cruise companies, but they open the restaurant not on the river but on the ground.

Main foods are Thai seafood. English menu is available. You can choose your favorite fish from the corves.

The atmosphere is very local. Luktung (Thai local song) singer is not luxurious. Sometimes, the river smells bad.

But this atmosphere is same like the deck board of dinner cruise with dark neon lights. Many local people come to this restaurant for dinner. You can enjoy Thai people's life.

You can go to the restaurant from River Front by boat which you can book. But if you stay at Millennium Hilton Bangkok, you can walk there.

バンコクのチャオプラヤー川では、船の上で食事をとれるディナークルーズと言うアクティビティがあります。しかし中には「船に乗ると酔ってしまう」という三半規管の弱い人もいるでしょう。

ヨック・ヨー・レストランは、ディナークルーズ船を運行している会社の一つですが、船の他にシーフードレストランを陸地で営業しています。

料理はシーフードを中心としたタイ料理で英語メニューもあります。メニューから選んでもよいですが、生け簀があるので魚を自分で見て注文することも可能です。

雰囲気は、ルークトゥン（タイ風演歌）歌手が歌っていたりと、とてつもなくゆるい・・・。風向きによって川が臭うときもあります（汗）。

しかしオープンエアーの川沿いで、暗いネオンが点滅するこの雰囲気はまさにディナークルーズの甲板。たくさんのタイ人が来ていて、ローカル気分を味わうことができます。

バンコク市内からは、リバー・シティーからボートで渡ります。電話すると無料で船を出してくれます。ミレニアム・ヒルトン・バンコク（Millennium Hilton Bangkok）の隣にあるので、ヒルトンに宿泊している人なら、歩いて行くことができます。

Warung Kolega - ワルンコレガのランチ

There are some local diners around Putu Bali Villa & Spa.

Turning left from the hotel, you can find a blue-wall house, "Warung Kolega" in 5 minutes’ walking. "Warung" means a local and reasonable restaurant in Indonesian language, like people go every day. Approximately USD4 is enough for the lunch including a drink.

This Warung is famous for foreigners, so Warung-biginner can go without hesitation.

プトゥ・バリ・ヴィラの近くに、手頃なローカルレストランが幾つかあります。

ホテルを左手に進むと、徒歩５分ほどで、青い壁の「ワルン・コレガ」があります。「ワルン」とは、インドネシア語で、料金の安い普段使いの食堂の意味で、ランチならだいたい300円もあれば、ドリンク付きでインドネシア料理を食べることができます。

外国人も多く利用しているワルンなので、ワルンビギナーにおすすめです。

Singapore city to Changi Airpot by MRT - MRTでチャンギ空港へ行く

You can choose taxi, bus or MRT (subway) between Singapore city and Changi Airport. If your baggage is very big, the taxi is better. But if your hotel is near the MRT station like "Grand Park City Hall Hotel", MRT can save the money.

In this time, I used MRT from the city to Changi Airport.

Firstly, I got on the train for the green-colored East West Line. Each stations offers escalators, so big baggage has no problem. You need to exchange at Tanah Merah Station, but the opposite side of the same platform is for the airport. Train comes every 10- 15 minutes.

After getting off the train at Changi Airport station, you just follow the people, the escalator can bring you to Changi departure floor easily.

Train takes longer than taxi, but if you're alone, MRT transport is very convenient and cheap.

チャンギ空港からシンガポール市内へ入る手段として、空港タクシー、バス、MRT（地下鉄）があります。荷物が多いときはタクシーが便利ですが、ホテルが、例えばグランド・パーク・シティー・ホール・ホテルのように駅近くにあるのであれば、MRTを使うと安く済ますことができます。

今回、市内からチャンギ空港まで、MRTを使って行ってみました。

MRTの路線は、緑色のイーストウェスト線（East West Line）を使います。MRTにはエスカレータがあるので荷物が重くても大丈夫。途中タナー・メラｰ駅（Tanah Merah Station）で乗り換えると、目の前のプラットフォームがチャンギ・エアポート駅（Changi Airport Station）行きなので、そのまま来た電車に乗ればオーケー。電車は10〜15分間隔で来ます。

チャンギ・エアポート駅（Changi Airport Station）を降りたら、あとはただ流れにそってエスカレータで進むと、チャンギ空港の出発フロアに到着します。あっけないほど簡単でした。

タクシーに比べると時間がかかりますが、一人旅ならMRTはありだなと思いました。

Kaya Toast at Funan Digitalife Mall - フナン・デジタライフ・モールのカヤトースト

Funan Digitalife Mall near Peninsula Excelsior Hotel Singapore has many digital appliance shops. When you want a new mobile phone or PC, this shopping mall is convenient. This mall is open even on Chinese New Year season.

When you go up stars, you can find “Ya Kun Kaya Toast”. Kaya Toast is a popular snack in Singapore, sweet coconut cream spread on the bread. "Ya Kun Kaya Toast" is one of famous Kaya Toast shops in Singapore.

I ate toast with ice cream. The texture by cold cream and hot crispy bread is interesting.

ペニンシュラ・エクセシオール・ホテル・シンガポールの近くにあるフナン・デジタライフ・モールは、名前の通り、デジカメや携帯、パソコン等デジタル製品専門のショッピングモールです。旧正月の時期でもオープンしていて、覚えておくと便利です。

ビルの上へ行くと、カヤトーストで有名な「ヤー・クン・カヤ・トースト（Ya Kun Kaya Toast）」があります。アイスクリームのカヤトーストを食べたのですが、冷たいクリームと、暖かい焼いたパンの食感がおもしろかったです。
