タイの大衆デパート「ロビンソン」："Robinson" Thai's popular department Store

その土地に根付いたローカルの店というのは、旅行者が観光で見る分にはおもしろいけど、実際に買い物するにはなかなかハードルが高い場合が多いですが、タイ全土に展開するロビンソン・デパートメントは、旅行者でも十分に利用価値のある、訪れたいデパートの一つです。Soi17と19の間にあるロビンソン・デパートはS15スクンビット・ホテルに宿泊していた時、毎日利用してました。

１階入口に両替所があり、レートもよくおすすめです。地下にはトップス・スーパーマーケットがあり、食料品の調達に便利。フードコートは「終わってる感」があるけれど、一人旅には強い味方。ショッピングで狙い目は下着です。携帯電話ショップもあり、MBKまで行かなくてもSIMやバッテリーを買ったりするのに便利です。

以前、急遽パスポートの写真を焼き増ししなくてはいけない時があり、カメラ屋を利用しました。またクリーニング屋で、洗濯物のをまとめて出したり等、かなり使えます。

Looking local shops is interesting. But buying in such shops is sometimes difficult for foreign travelers. But Robinson, a big popular department store in Thai, is very useful even for us. When I stayed at S15 Sukhumvit Hotel, I used this department store every day.

Robinson Department Store between Soi 17 and Soi 19 offers money-changer in the entrance. The exchange rate is good. On the basement floor, Tops Super Market is good for buying food and drinks. Food court is too old and small, but it's useful for solo traveller. For my recommendation, underwear is good. You can buy SIM card or mobile phone battery at the mobile phone shops.

For me, I used a photo shop for a passport picture. Laundry shop helped my much laundry cleaned.

タイの火傷に効くクリーム : Ointment for burns in Thailand

以前マーニは、バンコクのとあるホテルの朝食ビュッフェで、味噌汁の大鍋をお玉でかき回そうとしたら、ドバッと汁が噴き出し、手を火傷してしまいました。

慌ててトイレに駆け込み、水で冷やすものの痛みは治まらず。そこへキッチンスタッフが、これはタイのシェフの間では有名なクリームだから、とのことで半信半疑で塗ったところ、不思議なことにぴたりと痛みが治まったのです。

その後、バムルンラード病院に行って診察してもらったところ、同じクリームが出されました。

火傷の薬「デルマジン（Dermazin）」

日本では処方箋がないと買えない薬でも、タイではBoots等のドラッグストアで普通に買えるので、覚えておくと便利ですよ。

When I stayed at a hotel in Bangkok, I've got my hand burned when I was stirring up hot Miso-soup at the breakfast.

I run into the restroom and poured water, but the hand hurt. So a kitchen staff came and brought me this cream. "This is a famous cream for burns among Thai chefs". After putting this ointment on my hand, it was becoming less painful.

After that, I went to Bumrungrad Hospital, Bangkok’s famous hospital, the doctor prescribed the same cream.

If you go to Drug Store like Boots, you can get the prescription-only medicine in Bangkok.

バンコクにたくさんショッピング・モールがありますが、グランデ・センターポイント・スクンビット・ターミナル 21が直結するターミナル21は、ビル全体が空港をイメージしています。各フロアー・デザインが、東京、ロンドン、パリ、ローマ、サンフランシスコ、イスタンブール等の世界各都市をモチーフにしており、関連ショップが沢山あるのでその街に行った気分になれます。またトイレのデザインも全て異なり凝っているので、行くだけでも楽しいですよ。

スーパー・マーケットとして入っているグルメ・マーケット（Gourmet Market）は、サイアム・パラゴンやエンポリアムに代表されるモール・グループが経営するスーパー。

バンコクで有名な流通系グループは、このモール・グループともう一つ、セントラル・デパートに代表されるセントラル・グループがあります。ロビンソン、ZEN、トップス・スーパーマーケット、ビッグＣもセントラル系ですね。

The building concept of Terminal 21 is "airport". Each floor features famous worldwide cities like Tokyo, London, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Istanbul and so on. Each floor has same theme shops. And also restrooms' design is different in each floor. You don't miss it.

Terminal 21 offers "Gourmet Market". This supermarket is managed by The Mall Group which managing Siam Paragon or Emporium.

"Central Group", another famous retail business group, manages Central, Robinson, ZEN, Tops, Big C and so on.

How to Siam Discovery - サイアムディスカバリーの歩き方

When you cross the pedestrian bridge from Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam, you can find Siam Discovery at the intersection corner. This shopping mall offers many design and art shops like furniture, bag, stationary, small things and so on.

You can find your own cool souvenir at Propaganda, Good Job, Loft and so on.

For clothing, DIESEL and REPLAY at Siam Discovery are most fully stocked in Bangkok.

If you want to meet your friends, Starbucks on the 4th floor is recommended. Because there is no good cafe for meeting on the roadside of Siam Discovery, Siam Center and Siam Paragon. The connecting bridge to Siam Center is located in front of this Starbucks, so your friend can come to Siam Discovery easily from Siam Center and Siam Paragon.

ホリデイ・イン・エクスプレス・バンコク・サイアムから歩道橋を渡ってすぐの交差点角にあるサイアムディスカバリーは、デザイン系の店が多いショッピングセンターです。

プロパガンダ（Propaganda）、Good Job、Loft等、雑貨や家具の店が多く、小粋なタイ土産を買うのにおすすめです。

洋服に関して言うとバンコクの中でDIESEL、REPLAYの品揃えが充実しているのが、このサイアムディスカバリー店です。

待ち合わせするなら４階のスターバックスが便利です。サイアムディスカバリー、サイアムセンター、サイアムパラゴンの通りは地上に適当な店がないので、待ち合わせはビルの中のほうが便利。このスターバックス前には、隣のサイアムセンターに接続する連絡橋があるので、サイアムセンターやパラゴンで買い物している友人が楽に来ることが出来ます。
